Welcome to the International School of Kigali ("ISK," "we," "our," or "us"). These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website located at iskr.org (the "Website") and any related services we provide. By accessing or using the Website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website.
The International School of Kigali is a non-profit, internationally accredited Pre-K through Grade 12 school based in Kigali, Rwanda. Our registered address is 10 KG 307 St, Kigali, Rwanda. References to "ISK" in these Terms include the school, its governing board, employees, contractors, and authorised representatives.
The Website is intended for use by prospective and current families, students aged 13 and over, alumni, employees, partners, and the general public. Children under 13 should only use the Website with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian.
You agree to use the Website only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of, restrict, or inhibit anyone else's use of the Website. Prohibited behaviour includes:
All content on the Website — including text, graphics, photographs, logos, the ISK crest, video, audio, downloadable documents, and the overall design — is owned by or licensed to ISK and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may view, download, and print content from the Website for personal, non-commercial use, provided that all copyright and other proprietary notices are retained. Any other use, including reproduction, modification, distribution, public display, or commercial exploitation, requires our prior written permission.
Information on the Website regarding admissions, programs, curriculum, tuition, the annual capital levy, and other fees is provided for general guidance and may change without notice. Enrolment at ISK is governed by separate enrolment agreements, family handbooks, and policies issued by the school at the time of admission. In the event of any conflict between the Website and an executed enrolment agreement or official school policy, the executed agreement or policy will prevail.
Students, parents, guardians, and visitors interacting with ISK are expected to uphold the school's values of compassion, curiosity, and respect, and to comply with the school's Code of Conduct, Acceptable Use Policy, and other published policies. Violations may result in disciplinary action, suspension, expulsion, or restriction of access to school facilities or services, as determined by ISK in its sole discretion.
When you submit information to ISK through the Website — for example, by completing the contact form or an admissions inquiry — you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you are authorised to share it. We will handle such information in accordance with our privacy practices and applicable data protection laws in Rwanda. By submitting an inquiry, you consent to ISK contacting you in response.
Photographs and video recorded on ISK premises, at school events, or shared by community members may include images of students, families, staff, and visitors. ISK obtains separate written media consent from families through enrolment paperwork governing the use of student images in school publications and on the Website. If you believe an image of you or your child has been published in a way that is inconsistent with the consent given, please contact us at info@iskr.org and we will review the request promptly.
Personal information collected through the Website is used to respond to inquiries, manage admissions and school services, and improve our communications. ISK does not sell personal information. Our handling of personal data is governed by applicable Rwandan data protection law. For specific questions about how your information is collected, stored, or used, please contact info@iskr.org.
The Website may contain links to third-party websites, services, or resources that are not owned or controlled by ISK — for example, accreditation bodies, college and university pages, or social media platforms. ISK is not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of any third-party site. Accessing such sites is at your own risk and may be subject to separate terms and policies.
ISK takes reasonable care to ensure the information on the Website is accurate and up to date. However, the Website is provided for general informational purposes and may contain errors, omissions, or outdated content. We do not warrant that the Website will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses. To the fullest extent permitted by law, ISK disclaims all warranties, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the fullest extent permitted by Rwandan law, ISK and its board, employees, contractors, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or in connection with your access to, use of, or inability to use the Website. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, willful misconduct, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ISK, its board, employees, contractors, and agents from any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the Website, or your infringement of any third-party right.
ISK may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Website at any time without notice.
