EAL Program

English as an Additional Language

With over 40 nationalities at ISK, we recognize the importance of language support. Our EAL program helps bridge language barriers, enabling students to develop their language skills at their own pace while fostering academic, social, and emotional development.

Our Approach
  • Collaborative model with classroom teachers
  • Instruction in language-rich mainstream classrooms
  • Targeted small-group sessions multiple times weekly
  • Individualized language learning plans with specific targets
  • Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles

Our support team coordinates with classroom teachers to pre-teach and reinforce key academic concepts, ensuring students can fully access the curriculum and feel they belong in our school community.
