Our Learning Support staff collaborate with classroom teachers through MTSS (Multi-Tiered Systems of Support), participate in Students of Concerns discussions, and maintain regular parent communication regarding ILP goals and student progress.
With over 40 nationalities at ISK, we recognize the importance of language support. Our EAL program helps bridge language barriers, enabling students to develop their language skills at their own pace while fostering academic, social, and emotional development.
Our support team coordinates with classroom teachers to pre-teach and reinforce key academic concepts, ensuring students can fully access the curriculum and feel they belong in our school community.
Comprehensive counseling services for social-emotional development and future planning.
All students from Pre-K to Grade 5 receive Social Emotional Learning (SEL) lessons during morning meeting or WINN time. Students also have access to small group and individual counseling through the Elementary Counselor as needed.
Our secondary counselor facilitates post-secondary planning by helping students identify strengths and interests, explore career pathways, and navigate educational opportunities.
BridgeU Platform: Students use BridgeU, an online platform enabling them to complete career assessments and investigate post-secondary options aligned with their goals and interests.
Our Health Office ensures student wellness with professional nursing care and health management services.
