Matatu Online Terms and Conditions

By downloading or playing Matatu Online (the "Game") you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Game.

1. The Game

Matatu Online is a free multiplayer card game based on the classic Matatu card game. You can play against a computer opponent or against other players in real time.

2. Your account

You need only a username to play. You may create a password-protected account or play as a guest with a generated name.
You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping any password private.
Choose a respectful username. We may rename or remove accounts whose usernames are offensive, misleading, or impersonate others.
You must be legally able to agree to these terms; if you are a minor, a parent or guardian should review them with you.

3. Fair play and conduct

You agree not to:

cheat, exploit bugs, or use automation, bots, or modified clients to gain an advantage;
harass or abuse other players (including through usernames or emotes);
disrupt games, servers, or other players' access to the Game;
attempt to access other players' accounts or our systems.

We may suspend or permanently remove accounts that break these rules, and may cancel or void affected games and statistics.

4. Game content and virtual items

Card skins and other cosmetic items are provided free within the Game, have no monetary value, and cannot be sold, transferred, or exchanged.
The Game currently contains no purchases, no ads, and no gambling. The Game is played for entertainment only; no money or prizes can be won.

5. Ownership

The Game — including its code, artwork, card designs, logo, and name — belongs to Kamagram or its licensors. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and play the Game on your own devices. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from the Game except where the law expressly permits.

6. Availability and changes

The Game depends on our servers and your internet connection. We aim to keep it available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.
We may update, change, or discontinue features (or the Game itself) at any time, including resetting statistics where reasonably necessary (for example to fix bugs or abuse).

7. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what information the Game handles. In short: a username, optional hashed password, and gameplay statistics — no email, phone, location, ads, or tracking.

8. Termination

You can stop using the Game at any time and may request account deletion (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or harm the service or other players.

9. Disclaimers

The Game is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Game will be error-free or always available.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kamagram will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, statistics, or virtual items, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Game. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will update the effective date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app. Continuing to play after a change means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Rwanda. Disputes will be handled by the competent courts of Kigali, Rwanda, unless the mandatory consumer law of your country of residence provides otherwise.
