Our Flagship Partnership

Macy's Path to Peace

The Macy's relationship is the cornerstone of Gahaya Links' success. Through the Path to Peace programme, Rwandan Peace Baskets are available in stores nationwide, connecting American consumers directly with the women who weave them.

Gahaya Links became the first Rwandan handicraft export company to benefit from AGOA, and with Fairwinds Trading Inc., the company is now the leading exporter of Rwanda's one-of-a-kind baskets.

Organisational Partners

Gahaya Links is honoured by its partnerships with organisations that share our commitment to women's economic empowerment, sustainable development, and preserving African craft heritage.

Our Partners

Key trade partner that enabled Gahaya Links to become the first Rwandan handicraft company to access the US market through the Africa Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA). Together, they launched the Path to Peace programme that became the foundation for the Macy's partnership.

The United States African Development Foundation provides grants and technical assistance to support African-owned and managed enterprises. Their support has been instrumental in scaling Gahaya Links' operations and cooperative network.
