By downloading, installing, or using the Happening app, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Happening. By using the app, you represent that you meet this age requirement.
3. Your Account
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
- You must provide accurate information when creating your account
- You may not create accounts for others without their permission
- One person may only maintain one account
4. User Content
What You Can Post
- Photos, videos, comments, and captions that you own or have the right to share
- Content related to plans and events you participate in
What You Cannot Post
- Content that infringes on others' intellectual property rights
- Sexually explicit or pornographic material
- Content that promotes violence, harassment, or hate speech
- Spam, misleading, or fraudulent content
- Content that violates any applicable law
- Private information of others without their consent
Your Rights
- You retain ownership of the content you post
- By posting content, you grant Happening a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content within the app and for promotional purposes
- You can delete your content at any time
Our Rights
- We may remove content that violates these terms without notice
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly violate these terms
5. Plans
- Plans are location-based events created by users
- Plan creators can set plans as public or private
- Private plans require approval from the creator to join
- Plan creators are responsible for the content posted within their plans
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the app for any illegal purpose
- Harass, bully, or intimidate other users
- Impersonate any person or entity
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or our systems
- Use automated tools to access or scrape the app
- Interfere with the proper functioning of the app
- Upload viruses or malicious code
7. Privacy
Your use of Happening is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the app, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.
8. Intellectual Property
- The Happening name, logo, and app design are our intellectual property
- You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the app without our permission
- All trademarks, service marks, and trade names are owned by Happening
9. Third-Party Services
- Happening integrates with third-party services (Google Sign-In, Apple Sign-In, maps)
- Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies
- We are not responsible for third-party service availability or content
10. Disclaimers
- Happening is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
- We do not guarantee the app will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
- We are not responsible for user-generated content
- We are not responsible for events or activities that occur at plan locations
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Happening shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
12. Termination
- You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time
- We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms
- Upon termination, your right to use the app ceases immediately
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
14. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Rwanda. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Kigali, Rwanda.
