Fundamentals of Exploration Geophysics is a basic level survey geophysics course designed to familiarize participants with the different geophysical techniques used in exploration for oil and gas, water, mining and engineering. Students are expected to have an understanding of the basic principles of the different geophysical methods, the measurable physical property pertaining to each method, the limitations of the methods, geophysical instrumentation, field procedures, basic interpretation, and applications.  Each topic in the course will be accompanied by hands-on exercises and case studies.

• Gravity, magnetics, electrical and electromagnetic techniques
